Slings & Assembly.
Engineered to lift.

Wire-rope slings, chain slings and special assemblies — fabricated in-house at our Kamani Works, Mumbai on five hydraulic splicing presses (up to 3,000 t), proof-tested in our 250-tonne Government-approved Test House, and signed off by a Competent Person — every assembly carries full traceability.

From a 3 mm single-leg whip-check to a 12-part Gator-Laid® heavy-lift sling, from chain slings to IS 2760 to cable-laid grommets up to 252 mm nominal size — we manufacture, test and certify the full range.

— Sling configurations

From single-leg whip-checks
to four-leg heavy lifts.

Every sling is built to the leg count, capacity and termination set you specify. Available across both wire-rope and chain families.

EEK-WRS1L · CS1L
Single Leg
One rope or chain leg with end terminations top and bottom — whip-checks, single-point lifts.
EEK-WRS2L · CS2L
Two Leg
Common rigging configuration. Top fitting + two bottom fittings, capacity de-rated by sling angle.
EEK-WRS3L · CS3L
Three Leg
Three-point lift balancing. Top master link, three legs each with bottom hook or fitting.
EEK-WRS4L · CS4L
Four Leg
Heaviest rigging configurations. Four legs around a master link — typical for plate & module lifts.
— Sling families

Five families.
One assembly line.

Wire-rope, chain and grommet slings — each manufactured at our Kamani Works, every test certificate countersigned by a Competent Person designated by the Director General & Chief Inspector, Dock Safety.

Single-part wire rope sling
Wire Rope6×19 / 6×37IWRC / FMC
Single Part WR Sling
Flemish-eye / mechanical-splice termination. Thimbles protect the rope at the connection points — significantly improves sling life. Stainless, fibre-core and galvanised cable-laid variants available.

Multi-Part WR Sling
Higher capacity through multi-part construction. End fittings (hooks, thimbles, clamps) selected per spec. Stainless steel, fibre-core or galvanised cable-laid options for marine / corrosive duty.

Chain sling assembly
ChainIS 2760All grades
Chain Sling
Conforms to IS 2760. All grades and capacities to specification. Performs in high temperature and rugged environments — flexible, ductile, easy to inspect, collapsible for storage. Elongates up to 20 % before failure as a visual warning.

Gator-Laid heavy-lift wire rope sling
Gator-Laid®12-part eyeHeavy-lift
Gator-Laid® Sling
Developed with the offshore oil industry — the world's heaviest-duty wire rope sling. Twelve parts of wire rope in the eye gives unmatched flexibility and strength, with shorter minimum lengths where required.

Cable-laid grommet sling
GrommetHand-splicedUp to 252 mm
Cable-Laid Grommet
Hand-spliced, continuous endless loop made from a single length of wire rope. Six strands twisted around a core wire. Manufactured up to 252 mm nominal size — for the heaviest port, shipyard and offshore lifts.

Hard eye, lined with a thimble.

When the eye must keep its shape against a shackle, hook or bollard, we splice the rope around a forged-steel thimble. The thimble carries the bearing load, distributes it around the rope's curve and stops the eye collapsing under side pull. Available in galvanised mild steel and stainless for marine duty.

— Critical safety

A sling is only safe if used correctly.

  • Inspect before every lift — check for cuts, kinks, broken wires, corrosion.
  • De-rate capacity by the sling angle on multi-leg lifts.
  • Never shock-load or exceed the WLL.
  • Use edge protection on sharp corners.
  • Match capacity of every fitting in the chain — sling, shackle, hook.
  • Cite the standard: IS 2760 (chain), ASME B30.9 (slings).
  • A chain sling elongating > 5 % is a discard indicator.
  • Retain the test certificate with the sling for traceability.
